Start with official sources, then plan the practical details around your own nationality, employment and travel history.

What matters in this category

A remote job does not automatically give you permission to live or work from another country. Each official route has its own rules, application location and documents. These profiles show where to start reading, and what to ask before committing to travel.

Eligibility, documents and fees can change. Use the official government link in each profile and the consular office responsible for your application.

A BETTER FIRST CHECK

Before you choose a visa route.

01 / STATUS

Short visit or residence?

Define why you want to stay and for how long. A visitor entry, a temporary remote-work permission and a residence pathway do different jobs. A destination being appealing for remote work does not determine the status available to your passport or employment arrangement.

02 / EVIDENCE

What can you document?

Check the official checklist for the route you are considering. Employment contracts, client relationships, income, insurance, accommodation and family records may be relevant. Keep original documents and ask the responsible consulate how it treats translations or document age.

03 / AUTHORITY

Who handles your case?

The right application route can depend on where you lawfully reside. Start with the official ministry or consular site, then locate the office responsible for your case. If two official pages disagree, ask that office to confirm the current requirement before you pay fees or book travel.

Visa summaries on ComJs are orientation material. They do not establish eligibility, a right to work or the tax treatment of a stay. Always use the current instructions of the government authority processing your application.
